Mind Map - learning objective one.

Campaign Our Brief -learning objective one.

A brief for my campaign -
Firstly the group were given a set brief a few weeks into the unit. We had to look at a range of campaigns and start assessing them on their message they were trying to get across. Our Teacher Mr Cole showed us a clip of Mary Queen of charity shops, the whole point of this was to show us that most of the products given to the charities are unsuitable to display on the shop floors.
After this happened we decided to take some action towards a chosen charity of our choose which was E.A.C.H. But before we jumped in we had to make a phone call to the Charity shop to see if they would like us to get involved with there charity. Also we wrote them letters, and finally we meet up with them at there charity.
Our Task -
our task was to make a campaign which would make improvements of the quality of goods and products. We did this by creating posters which were put up around Wymondham high School, also leaflets were made to . Another thing we did was produced a t.v. ad although unfortunately we did not able to get to film the end result, because there was not enough time.  After this we did a TIE performance (theatre in education) at the local Browick Rd infant school which was a great experience to show our thoughts and ideas with younger children about what we think about donating to charity also they views from this campaign.
Final Presentations-
Next we wrote a letter to the charity shop to show how are progress went during the campaign of donating to help there charity. We were not particularly successful with our donating i think this was due to it was quite close to christmas and people were already buying and giving presents to others. without having to donate to charity shops as well. Another reason maybe that we were picking the wrong target audience to work with (teenagers) as they do not exactly want to help charity's as there to cool . (this is from my view) (teenager)

5.3 my letter to Quidenhams Hospice :)

Wymondham High School
Folly Rd
Norfolk
NR18 OQT
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am from Wymondham High School, and my name is Lauren, I am currently doing a creative and media diploma, and as part of my diploma I have to do a module on campaign. So through this unit of campaign we had to choice a charity of our choice in wymondham to work with and if that was possible. Which thankfully it was. And meanwhile after me and my friends from the creative and media diploma had choosen to work with quidenham Hospice, we had visited the charity shop and had spoken with members who volunteer kindly in the shop. During this visit we had asked what do they specically need help with and that was there donations, as only 20% of the dontations that are taken into the shop, are sadly not possible to display on the shelves as the poor quality they have been giving in like. So over the past few weeks are main aim as a diploma group was to help Quidneham with their donations. By doing this we have created as much awareness as possible! For starters we have created clear posters and put them around Wymondham High School, for others to see Quidenham need they generosity to help their charity! The other main thing we have done to try school and we did that on Tuesday 31st November, this performance was hopefully getting the message across that its important to give a little and help charity as it goes along way to the people that really need it the most. Also we wrote a letter for the staff at Wymondham High so it what be emailed to them and they could read it out in form times, also they may stop and think about what it really means to donate to charity! So I hope this is going to help the charity, and soon we will be coming down to your charity and showing you all the great things we have managed to get from people!
Yours Faithfully,
Lauren.

5.4Our trip to Browick Rd school ♥

Today I and the other pupils from my diploma visited the

Browick Rd

School, to do a theatre in education performance (TIE). We had the task to produce our performance which we had been working on with Mrs Haythorpe for a few of our campaign lessons. I didn't participate in the performance as I was working on the t.v. ad. But those who performed today at Browick made a rather good job, The only downfall with how the performances went was that they could of projected the voices more clearer and loudly, and looked upto the audience more, so that they are keeping focused to what they are saying.  Another thing which I think was great today was as a few students didn't turn up because of the weather(snow) and the other remaining students from my diploma, stepped in at last minute and took there roles for what they had to do during there performances.
After the performances were shown, we were then split into groups to do the workshops, like we had planned. Firstly when we started with the workshops, I was a bit nervous, as I'm not really the one for speaking in front of everybody. But as the workshops went on I got more confident to how things were going, and enjoyed working with younger children, and showing them about sharing and donating, I think by the end of it I think they got the idea that its important to share+donate. Another thing why I thought it was a good morning as it was a really good experience.

Playing games with the year 2's.

Disscussing ideas with the children.

5.1 Why Barnado's is controversial ?

Why is Barnado's controversial ?
A breif introduction to who Barnado's are- Barnado's believes in children, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through.
Why Barnado's is controversial- In 2008 Barnado's made a hard hitting emotion television advert. The advert included many horriffic scences, which were: a young girl being hit by her father, followed by taking drugs, and then mugging somebody, finally it resulted that the girl was then arrested. This specific advert recieved 400 complaints, this was due to adults saying this this advert was un approaite for children, and shouldn't be being shown as a television advert. But Barnodo's thought that it would get the message across quite well, as it shows what children have to deal with throughout everyday life. Which is so very upsetting to think this happens to several children. Although this is why Barnado's is out there to help anybody in need for some help.

5.4 How the process of donating went ♥

Reflecting on how I thought the donations process went :
As a result sadly nobody decided to help our campaign, as nobody supported us by donating their good quality goods which are not in use to them anymore! But to prevent this from happening again we will do something about it. By doing something about it we will try and make our message to donate more clearer so that people get the idea it’s not just a waste of time by getting rid of their good quality goods which are unwanted to them, it’s about YOU helping them poor unfortunate children who will have a smile on their faces when you help them in various ways, either donating money or giving items they you do not use anymore, but it's important that these products are in good condition, how you would wish to find them in a respectable manor of condition.
